Yusaku FUJII was born in Tokyo, Japan, in 1965. He received B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1989, 1991, and 2001, respectively. He is a Japanese citizen.
He has published 183 papers in journals. He has worked for Kawasaki Steel Corp., Japan (1991–1995), the National Research Laboratory of Metrology (NRLM), AIST, Japan (1995–2002), and then Gunma University, Japan (2002–present).
His fields are precision measurement, optical interferometry, societal safety, privacy, artificial intelligence, and powered air-purifying respirators.
Akihiro Takita recieved his Ph.D. in Engineering from Tokushima University in 2006. He is now an Associate Professor at Cluster of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, School of Science and Technology, Gunma University. He has published 99 papers in journals. His research topics mainly include social safety and privacy, levitation mass methods, interferometry, digital holography, and optical data storage.
Seiji Hashimoto received his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Utsunomiya University, Japan, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. He began his academic career in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Oyama National College of Technology. Since 2002, he has been with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Gunma University, where he is currently a Professor in the Division of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (Program of Intelligence and Control). He has served as a consultant for companies in the fields of control and energy systems and has been a visiting professor in China. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications and holds more than 20 granted or pending patents. His research interests include system identification, motion control, AI-based control and diagnostics, and energy regeneration with applications in industrial systems. He is a member of IEEE, IEEJ, and SICE.
