Veronica Macchi is a Professor at the Department of Neurosciences, Institute of Human Anatomy, University of Padova, Italy. He obtained his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the same university in 2004. He is a member of Italian Association of anatomy and Histology and European Association of Clinical Anatomists. His research interests include Immunohistochemistry, Gross Anatomy, Human Anatomy, Histological Staining, Neuroanatomy, Histological Analysis, Immunohistochemical Staining, Osteology and Immunofluorescence. He has authored more than 300 publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
Prof. Dr. Andrea Porzionato is a Full Professor at the Department of Neurosciences, Institute of Human Anatomy, University of Padova, Italy. He earned his medical degree in 2001, a specialization in legal medicine in 2005, and a PhD in neuroscience in 2009 from the University of Padova. His main research interests include neuroscience (central and peripheral chemoreceptors, neuroanatomy/physiology of enteric neurons, and neuroanatomy/neuropathology of the brainstem), regenerative medicine and tissue engineering (development of biological scaffolds through decellularization and innovative artificial materials), and clinical anatomy.
Raffaele De Caro, MD is a Full Professor at the Department of Neurosciences, Institute of Human Anatomy, University of Padova. He received a Medical degree cum laude in 1980 in Padova. Specialization cum laude in Pathology (Padova, 1984) and Legal Medicine (Padova, 1987). At the Medical School of the University of Padova Assistant Professor in Human Anatomy from 1981, Associate Professor from 1992, and Full Professor from 2000. Director of the Department of Human Anatomy and Physiology from 2004 to 2011. President of the School of Medicine of Padova since 2007. Visiting scientist at the University of Sheffield in 1988, University of Heidelberg (Germany) in 1990 for Plastination of human cadaver, at the "International School of Neuroscience", (Prof. E. Costa, G.M. Edelman e R. Levi Montalcini) in 1990, Italy. He personally made 3000 cadaver dissections for research and teaching.
Dr. Levent Özçakar is a Professor at Hacettepe University Medical School, Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Ankara, Turkey. He finished medical training in 1997 and residency in 2002 at the same institute, where he started a career as an Associate Professor in 2006. He has published 797 papers in peer-reviewed journals, receiving more than 6000 citations, with an h-index of 38 (Scopus, March 2024). His research interests mainly focus on musculoskeletal ultrasonography, scientific publishing, and thoracic outlet syndrome. Furthermore, he serves as an Associate Editor for various journals, a book editor of three books, as well as the founder and president for several societies such as the Turkish Multidisciplinary Ultrasound Society (TURK-MUS), Ultrasound Task Force of ISPRM (USPRM), European Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Study Group (EURO-MUSCULUS), etc.
Carla Stecco is an Orthopedic Surgeon and Professor of Human Anatomy and Movement Sciences at the University of Padova. She is the Founder Member of the Fascial Manipulation Association and of the Fascial Research Society, a Member of the Italian Society of Anatomy and Histology, of the Association Franaise des Morphologistes and of ISMuLT. Her scientific activity is devoted to the study of the anatomy of the human fasciae from a macroscopical, histological and physiopathological point of view. She personally made over 100 cadaver dissections for research. She teaches theoretical-practical courses about the Fascial Manipulation technique internationally. Dr. Stecco is the author of more than 100 in extenso papers about the fascial anatomy, 80 indexed in Pubmed, two books about Fascial Manipulation and chapters on fascial anatomy and Fascial Manipulation Technique. She is the author of the “Functional atlas of human fasciae”.
