Tingzhong Yang is a Professor and Director at the Research Center for Tobacco Control, Zhejiang University Research Center for Digital Health Theory and Management, ZJU National Health Big Data Institute. He served as an advisor to the WHO on tobacco control for health profession students and was an expert in updating the CRD section of the WHO Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of NCDs. He is an external faculty affiliate at the Injury Control Research Center at West Virginia University and was invited to serve as an academician of the Russian Academy of Social and Fundamental Sciences, named after M.V. Lomonosov. His primary academic focus is social and behavioral science in health, with specific research interests in tobacco control and mental health. His work on tobacco control has been officially reported by the WHO and was highlighted during the celebration of Zhejiang University’s 120th anniversary. His research extends to the social and behavioral theory, where he works on developing China-specific social and cultural models and best practices. More recently, he established the theoretical framework for digital health behavior and proposed significant theories. He has published several books, including Health Research: Social and Behavioral Theory and Methods, Smoking Environments in China: Challenges for Tobacco Control, and others. He is also an editor for the Global Journal of Social Sciences Studies.
Weifang Zhang has been serving as the Senior Vice President at the Stomatology Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine since December 2018. Before that, she served as the Vice President at the Children’s Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine from 2009 to 2018. She received her Ph.D. in Management from Zhejiang University in 2015. Her research interests focus on health care, health behavior, health policy, and hospital administration. Recently, she has been focusing her research on dental health promotion and digital oral health treatment. Now, she is the Chair of the Oral Health Promotion Committee of Zhejiang Society of Mathematical and Medical Sciences and a council member of the Chinese Health Policy, Management, and Teaching Association.
