Dr. Kun Hou is currently a lecturer at the School of
Remote Sensing and Surveying Engineering and a deputy director of the
Department of Geospatial Information Engineering at Nanjing University of
Information Science and Technology. He received a bachelor’s degree in 2015 and
a master’s degree in surveying and mapping engineering in 2017, both from China
University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). In June 2020, he earned a Ph.D.
in Cartography and Geographic Information Systems from Beijing Normal
University. In July 2020, he joined Nanjing University of Information Science
and Technology. He holds one National Natural Science Foundation project and
one Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation project. His main research directions
are spatiotemporal geographic data modeling and analysis, disease mapping and
risk assessment, and quantitative causal inference.
