Prof. Dr. Hui-Zhong Kou received his bachelor’s degree in 1990 from Nankai University and a Ph.D. in 1999 from the same university. He has been a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Chemistry, Peking University, an associate professor at the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University, and a special researcher at the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). He has been a professor at the Department of Chemistry, Tsinghua University since 2007. He was awarded the “Youth Chemistry Award” by the Chinese Chemical Society in 2002, the “Good Mentor and Helpful Friend” award for graduate students at Tsinghua University in 2004, and was selected into the “New Century Excellent Talent Support Program” by the Ministry of Education in 2007. His main research areas include coordination chemistry, multifunctional materials, and structural chemistry.
