Doctor at Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Santo António and Hospital Lusíadas Porto and an Associated Professor of Pulmonology at Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar. His Master's Degree in Medicine was awarded by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). He completed a Fellowship in Bronchology at Sotiria Hospital for Chest Diseases (Athens, Greece) and a Fellowship in Non-Invasive Ventilation and Respiratory Sleep Pathology at the Lane Fox Unit, St Thomas Hospital (London, UK). He is a Member of the following medical societies: ERS, ESRS, EABIP, and SPP.
