Author Biographies

Theodoros Anagnostopoulos was born in Athens, Greece, in 1976. He received a BEng degree from the University of West Attica, Greece, in 1997 and BSc and MScIS degrees from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece, in 2001 and 2003, respectively. He received a PhD degree from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, in conjunction with the University of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2012. He also received an MScEd degree from the Hellenic Open University, Greece, in 2018. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the ITMO University, Russia, in 2015. He was a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Oulu, Finland, in 2016. He was employed as a Principal Research Scientist in Smart Cities at the Ordnance Survey: Great Britain’s Mapping Authority, UK, in 2017. He had a Lecturer (Teaching) position in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of West Attica, Greece, in 2025. Currently, he holds an Assistant Professor position in Information Systems at the Department of Business Administration, at the University of the Aegean, Greece. Dr. Theodoros Anagnostopoulos holds two patents, namely, “Spatiotemporal Authentication” – European Patent, Patent No. EP 3,407,232 B1, and “Spatiotemporal Authentication” – United States Patent, Patent No. US 10,824,713 B2. Consecutively, he is the author of the book “IoT-enabled Unobtrusive Surveillance Systems for Smart Campus Safety”, Wiley – IEEE Press, 1st Edition, October 2022, ISBN: 978-1-119-90390-1.
Dr. Jino Ramson is a Principal Engineer in RF and mmWave Engineering at GlobalFoundries US-2 LLC, Vermont, USA. He completed his Postdoctoral Research at Purdue University, West Lafayette, USA, focusing on the Internet of Things (IoT). He earned his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.Tech in Networks and Internet Engineering from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences, Coimbatore, India, and his B.E. from Anna University, Chennai, India. His research interests include RF and mmWave System Design and Validation, IoT System Design, Wireless Sensor Networks, and Edge Analytics. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals, including IEEE Internet of Things and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics. Additionally, he has presented at several international and national conferences, authored book chapters and books, and served on the editorial review boards of reputed journals. Dr. Jino Ramson has also delivered guest lectures at faculty development programs, workshops, and conferences.
