Ming Cao is an Associate Professor at the School of
Advanced Manufacturing, Nanchang University. From 2022 to 2024, he was a
Postdoctoral Fellow at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information
Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He also earned his Bachelor’s in Software
Engineering, Master’s in Vehicle Engineering, and Ph.D. in Mechanical
Engineering, all from Nanchang University, in 2009, 2012, and 2020,
respectively. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Mechanical
Engineering, University of Kansas, from 2017 to 2018. He is mainly engaged
in research on intelligent manufacturing and vehicle engineering.
Xianming Liu is an Associate Professor at the Dalian
Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Prior to joining the
Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics as a Post-doctoral Fellow in 2010, he
served as a Senior Quality Controller at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals (Dalian) (1998–2000),
a Research Scientist at the Industrial Research Institute, Crown Research
Institute, New Zealand (2005–2006), and a Post-doctoral Fellow at Canterbury
University (2006–2009). He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Dalian
University of Technology in 1995 and 1998, respectively, and earned a Doctor of
Chemistry from the Victoria University of Wellington in 2006. His main research
interests include microfluidics, electrowetting, single-cell study, point of
care testing, and instrumentation.
