Sascha Rohn is a full professor of food chemistry at the Technische Universität Berlin, Germany. He studied food chemistry at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt/Main. He passed the state examination to become a “state-certified food chemist” in 1999. He completed his doctorate in food chemistry in 2002 at the Institute of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Potsdam on the campus of the German Institute of Human Nutrition Potsdam-Rehbrücke (DIfE). From 2004 to 2011, he completed his habilitation at the Institute of Food Chemistry at the TU Berlin. From 2009 to 2020, he was a professor of food chemistry at the University of Hamburg. From 2015 to 2023, he also headed the Institute of Food and Environmental Research in Potsdam, Germany, dealing with applied research into new natural raw materials for new food/feed/non-food products.
