Prof. Guomo Zhou received a BS from Zhejiang A&F University in 1982, an MS from Beijing Forestry University in 1987, and a PhD from Zhejiang University in 2006. In 2004, he was a visiting professor at The Institute of Statistical Mathematics, in Japan. He was a senior visiting scholar at the University of Helsinki in 2008. Prof. Zhou served as president of Zhejiang Agricultural and Forestry University from 2010 to 2017. He has won the China National Science and Technology Progress Award many times. Prof. Zhou is an expert on forest carbon sinks and has been invited to attend the United Nations Climate Change Conference for 10 consecutive years. His research interests include forest carbon sequestration mechanism and sequestration technology, carbon sink monitoring and measurement, and forest response to climate change.
