Hyuk Cho is an Associate Professor and the Director of United Church Formation and Studies at the Vancouver School of Theology. He earned a BTh and MDiv at Hanshin University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, and an MTS and ThD at the Emmanuel College, University of Toronto. He was elected as a member of the Central Committee (2022-2030), the governing body of the World Council of Churches (WCC), by the 11th Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany. His research interests include the history and theology of the United Church, intercultural theology, interreligious dialogue, missiology, ecumenism, pneumatology, and decolonizing theology. He is the author of Relation without Relation: Intercultural Theology as Decolonizing Mission Practice (2025) by Peter Lang.
