Dr. Md Ataur Rahman is a distinguished postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Oncology at Karmanos Cancer Center, Wayne State University, Detroit, United States. With over 15 years of research experience in neuroscience and neurodegeneration, he has made significant contributions to cancer biology, particularly in studying autophagy and apoptosis pathways mediated by natural compounds. His academic journey began with a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Islamic University, Bangladesh, followed by advanced studies in Neuropharmacology at Hallym University, South Korea, where he earned his Ph.D. His professional experience spans multiple institutions, including research roles at the University of Michigan and Kyung Hee University. He is widely published in peer-reviewed journals, underscoring his expertise in multidisciplinary fields such as neurodegenerative diseases, cancer research, and molecular biology.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Halim Harrath is a Professor at King Saud University. He received his B.S. in Natural Sciences, M.S. in Biology, and Ph.D. in Reproduction and Developmental Biology from the University of Tunis El-Manar, Tunisia, in 1997, 1999, and 2005, respectively. He has expertise in the field of systems biology, particularly in how internal and external factors, including environmental influences, impact the structure and function of cells and tissues in the body (genes and proteins) and ultimately affect human health. His research portfolio encompasses a wide range of disciplines, including Cell Physiology, Molecular Biology, Cell and Developmental Biology, Toxicology, and Pharmacology. Additionally, he uses advanced techniques and experimental approaches to examine the mechanisms and potential applications of plant extracts, seed components, and newly synthesized molecules in controlling various biological disruptions.
