Dr. Rosario Caruso currently works as an Associate Professor of Nursing Science at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health, University of Milan. He completed his PhD at Università Tor Vergata di Roma in 2016. His research interests mainly include clinical research, quantitative methods, Chronic conditions, Nursing, and policy.
Dr. Loris Bonetti worked for two years in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Mangiagalli Clinic in Milan and for seven years in the Cardiosurgery Intensive Care Unit at the Luigi Sacco Teaching Hospital in Milan. He has taught in both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Nursing, specifically in the module on cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular nursing care at the University of Milan, as well as at several other academic institutions. Dr. Bonetti also served as a lecturer and tutor in the University of Milan’s Bachelor’s School of Nursing for ten years. He earned his Doctoral degree from the University of Genoa in 2013. Currently, he is the Chief of the Nursing Research Competence Centre at the Ente Ospedaliero Cantonale, a multisite hospital in Switzerland, and a lecturer in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in Nursing Science at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland. Additionally, he is a member of the faculty of the Gruppo Italiano Medicina Basata sulle Evidenze (GIMBE). He is also a member of the board of directors of the Accademia delle Scienze Infermieristiche, a professional society in Italy. His research interests primarily focus on clinical nursing research, malnutrition in older adults, ethical conflicts, and moral distress, burnout, and issues affecting nurses.
Dr. Silvia Belloni currently works as a Research Nurse in Oncology at IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital, a Research Fellow, and a Contract Professor at Università degli Studi di Pavia. She completed her PhD at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in 2022. Her research interests mainly include hematological malignancies, cancer treatment, quality of care, and nursing care.
Prof. Cristina Arrigoni currently works as an Associate Professor and an MSCA fellow in the Department of Molecular Medicine at Università degli Studi di Pavia. She received her PhD in Biomolecular Science at Universita degli Studi di Milano Dipartimento di Bioscienze in 2013. She was a Postdoctoral fellow at the University of California San Francisco and the University of Pavia in 2019 and 2021. Her research interests mainly include needlestick injuries, blood-borne pathogens, and health personnel.
Dr. Gianluca Conte is a passionate nurse with a strong focus on the intersection of digital and technological solutions within the realm of biobehavioral research, gender differences, and public health. Currently, He holds the position of researcher at the Health Professions Research and Development Unit at IRCCS Policlinico San Donato (part of Gruppo San Donato, Italy). In addition to his research responsibilities, he has assumed roles as an Educator and a Clinical Research Coordinator, leveraging his extensive clinical experience in neurosurgery and chronic care settings. Dr. Conte holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Research and a Master of Science in Nursing Science. He earned his Ph.D. in Nursing Science and Public Health, further solidifying his dedication to the field. His commitment is also reflected in his role as the Secretary of the Italian Association of Oncology Nurses, where he actively contributes to the advancement of nursing and healthcare on a broader scale.
Prof. Maura Lusignani currently serves as a Full Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences for Health, University of Milan. She obtained a Specialist Degree in Nursing and Obstetric Sciences at the University of Milan Bicocca in 2006. Her research interests mainly include Biomedical Sciences for Health.
Dr. Silvia Bauer is a nursing researcher and lecturer at the Department of Nursing Science at the Medical University of Graz. She received her PhD at the Department of Nursing Science, Medical University of Graz in 2015. Her research interests mainly include nutrition, with a focus on malnutrition, obesity, and sarcopenic obesity among older persons.
