Author Biographies

Tomona Yukimura earned a bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the Department of Pharmacy, Josai University (2023). She is now at Josai University's Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and is studying the Doctor of Pharmacy Course. Her work in pharmaceutics has resulted in nine presentations. Her research interests include drug release, prodrugs, and stimulus–response mechanisms.
Tomohiro Seki earned a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2012) and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2016) from Josai University. He is now the Associate Professor of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutics at Josai University. His work in pharmaceutics and supramolecular chemistry has resulted in 23 publications, 74 presentations, and awards in the JSPS Fellowship for Japanese Biomedical and Behavioral Researchers Fellowship at NIH Award; Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) (2018), Young Scientist Award; the 12th Physical Pharma Forum (2014) and Excellent Poster Award; and the 30th Cyclodextrin Symposium (2013), as well as 7 other awards. His research interests include stimuli-responsive systems, cyclodextrin, and molecular machines.
Toshinobu Seki earned a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1984) and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (1990) from Josai University. He is now the Professor of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutics at Josai University. His work in pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical education has resulted in 124 publications, and he has been awarded the JPHCS Distinguished Paper Award (2020). His research interests include drug diffusion in drug-delivery systems as well as a new educational system for pharmacy students.
