Anna Kurek-Górecka received her Master of Pharmacy and PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the School of Pharmacy with the Division of Laboratory Medicine in Sosnowiec, Medical University of Silesia. She is a pharmacist and a member of the Polish Pharmaceutical Society and the Australian Apitherapy Association. She specialises in the antioxidant activity of propolis; the possibility of using propolis in dentistry; the application of bee products in the food and pharmaceutical industries; and the comparison of propolis composition and biological activity depending on the geographical region of collection and the plant sources.
Radosław Balwierz is a pharmacist and doctor of pharmaceutical sciences. He is an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy and Ecological Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, University of Opole. Additionally, he is a member of the Presidium of the Opole Regional Pharmaceutical Chamber and the Board of the Opole Pharmaceutical Society. He is also associated with the Polish biotechnology company Biotts SA. His scientific interests focus on dermal drug forms and the use of natural products as permeation enhancers, as well as the use of nanoparticles in dermatological formulations.
