Dr. Maria Rodica Gurău, DVM, PhD is a lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania. She conducts didactic activities and research in the field of infectious diseases and preventive medicine, as well as in the field of molecular biology diagnostics. In the last few years, she was involved in research projects involving the detection and identification of viral and bacterial agents transmitted by ticks and the analysis of the variability of the prion protein gene (PRNP) in goat breeds from Romania.
Prof. Dr. Stelian Bărăităreanu, DVM, PhD is a full professor in the field of infectious diseases and preventive medicine, and a supervisor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania. He has 20 published books, including 3 as first author/single author, and more than 50 published scientific papers in WoS journals. In the last few years, he has been involved in research projects involving transboundary infectious diseases, the detection and identification of viral and bacterial agents transmitted by ticks, foodborne pathogens, and zoonoses. He coached the Romanian Dairy Farm Health Teams, which were created through the collaboration between farmers, veterinarians, advisory services, academics, and industry to disseminate innovative solutions for antibiotic resistance management in livestock production in the DISARM Project.
