Dr. Bilal Haj Najeeb is a medical retina and neuroophthalmology consultant in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical
University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. Dr. Haj Najeeb is certified from both the Arabic and the European Board of Ophthalmology. He obtained his PhD and Habilitation from the Medical University of Vienna. His areas of expertise include clinical ophthalmology, artificial intelligence, macular degeneration, retinal diseases and multimodal imaging.
Dr. Bianca S. Gerendas is the Managing Director at Vienna Reading Center (VRC), Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna, Austria. She obtained an MSc in Healthcare Management from the Universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim in 2010 and a PhD in Medical Physics from the Medical University of Vienna in 2020. Dr. Gerendas‘s research interests include interdisciplinary medical image analysis methods, computational ophthalmic image analysis, prevention strategies for retinal diseases, diabetic retinopathy, retinal imaging and innovative image analysis, translational ophthalmic research, retinal structure–function correlation and large-scale data analysis.
