Author Biographies

Mr. Daxi Kang received his M.E. in urban and rural planning from Nanjing Forestry University in 2018 and his B.E. in resources, environment, and urban and rural planning management from Sichuan Normal University in 2014. He worked as an assistant planner at the Urban Planning and Design Institute of Nanjing University Co., Ltd (August 2018–August 2019). In September 2019, he joined Luoyang Normal University as an instructor in the Department of Land Resources Management at the School of Geography and Tourism, and was promoted to lecturer in January 2025. His research topics mainly include the conservation and development of great urban heritage areas, urban and rural land use evolution, urban and rural governance, and regional sustainable development.
Prof. Dr. Jinlong Cheng received his Ph.D. in human geography from Henan University in 2011 and his M.S. in human geography from Shanghai Normal University in 2006. He obtained his B.S. in history and applied history from Henan University in 2003. He has been a professor in the Department of Tourism Management at the School of Geography and Tourism, Luoyang Normal University, since 2015. In June 2024, he was appointed vice president of Luoyang Normal University. His research topics mainly include urban heritage conservation and sustainable development, as well as tourism destination management.
Prof. Dr. Jie Yin received her Ph.D. in human geography from Nanjing University in 2013 and her M.E. in urban planning and design from the same university in 2005. She worked as a lecturer in the Department of Urban and Rural Planning at the College of Landscape Architecture, Nanjing Forestry University (2008–2013). In 2013, she was promoted to associate professor and continued her career at the same institution. In July 2021, she was further promoted to professor. Her research topics mainly include urban and regional development and planning, urban and regional governance, the socio-spatial dynamics of urbanization, and regional restructuring.
Dr. Huanhuan Li received her Ph.D. in management from Kyrgyz National University, named after Jusup Balasagyn, in January 2025 and her M.A. in land resource management from Chang'an University in 2019. She obtained her B.A. in land resource management from Shanxi Agricultural University in 2014. She worked as a land planner at Shanxi Zhiyuan Land Planning and Design Co., Ltd. (July 2014–August 2016). In September 2019, she moved to Luoyang Normal University as an instructor at the School of Geography and Tourism and was promoted to lecturer in the Department of Land Resources Management in January 2024. Her research topics mainly include urban heritage site spatial land use analysis, urban and rural land use evolution and simulation, and the revitalization and sustainable development of urban heritage.
