Denis Maragno is an RTDB University Researcher in Urban Planning at University Iuav of Venice. He has a PhD in New Territorial and Environmental Information Technologies from the Iuav University of Venice with a thesis on climate risk analysis and urban adaptation processes. Since 2013, he has carried out continuous curricular research and teaching activities in urban and territorial planning and design at Iuav University of Venice. He has always practiced a multidisciplinary approach to city and spatial planning. In recent years, he has focused his research activity on the relationships between urban analysis and sustainability, with particular attention to spatial analysis issues.
Federica Gerla is a PhD candidate in Earth Observation at Iuav University of Venice and Sapienza University of Rome. Her research focuses on the integration of spatial planning and earth observation technologies, particularly in coastal and marine environment. She has developed expertise in the development of geodatabases, spatial planning, and the mapping of ecosystem services. She aims to innovate current management tools by increasing multidisciplinary approaches and utilizing smart data management. Her work addresses critical issues such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and sustainable urban planning, promoting adaptive strategies for resilient and thriving ecosystems.
Francesco Musco graduated in Architecture with a score of 110/110 cum laude. After graduating, he devoted himself to professional urban and environmental sustainability activities, which he practiced during his final years at university. He is a full professor of Urban Technique and Planning at the Department of Project Culture of the Iuav University of Venice. He is an architect and urban planner, with a PhD of Excellence in Analysis and Governance for Sustainable Development. He directs the master's degree course in Planning and Policies for the City, the Territory, and the Environment (LM48) and the Erasmus Mundus master's program in Maritime Spatial Planning. He was a rector's delegate for research 2018-2021.
