Hussein A. M. Al-Zubaidi earned, from Portland State University, US, a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering (2018). He is now Professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, University of Babylon, Iraq. His research focus is on hydrodynamic and water quality modeling for surface waterbodies, mainly rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. Based on his research interests, he has been involved in numerical modeling including writing codes, verification and validation, and calibration. He has worked on developing numerical models in one, two, and three-dimensions for simulating hydrodynamics, temperature, and water quality. Machine learning approaches related to water quality have been employed.
