Ms. Longjuan Tan is an assistant teacher employed by Key Laboratory of Animal Genetics, Breeding, and Reproduction in the Plateau Mountainous Region, Ministry of Education, College of Animal Science, Guizhou University (from 2024). She completed her Master studies at the South China Agricultural University. Her research interests are nutrition and reproductive regulation, development, and utilization of novel feed additives.
Yujie Cheng finished her undergraduate study in animal science at Guizhou University and her postgraduate study in animal husbandry at Guizhou University (Supervisor: Dr. Min Zhu). Academically, she has received the National Encouragement Scholarship, University Third-Class Scholarship, and Dabeinong Scholarship during her undergraduate years, and the University Freshman First-Class Scholarship and Master's Third-Class Scholarship in graduate school. In student leadership roles, she served as Class Monitor and President of the College Student Union. During her school years, she obtained University Outstanding Student Leader, University Outstanding Communist Youth League Member, University Outstanding Volunteer, University Active Participant in Cultural and Sports Activities, Provincial Outstanding Student Leader (Guizhou Province), and published a Chinese core paper at the graduate stage.
Guowei Liu, from Guizhou province, studied at Guizhou University and obtained a bachelor's degree from September 2019 to June 2023. In September of the same year, she studied as a graduate student majoring in animal husbandry at Guizhou University (Supervisor: Dr. Min Zhu). During the school period, she systematically studied core courses such as animal nutrition and feed processing technology. Her research interests are Chinese herbal medicine and plant extracts as new feed additives in the era of antibiotics and scientific production management of weaned piglets. As a first author, she published a SCI academic paper in the Journal of Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications and participated in many SCI academic paper studies. During her postgraduate study, she attained the first prize of the freshman scholarship in her first academic year and the national scholarship in her second academic year. She is skilled in using immunofluorescence staining, real-time quantitative PCR, Western blotting techniques, and others. She has many times participated in academic activities.
Professor Dr. Yiyu Zhang is teacher at the college of Animal Science, Guizhou University. He completed his PhD studies in Animal genetic breeding and reproduction at the Yangzhou University, and he is a doctoral supervisor, Visiting scholar of Massey University in New Zealand, Outstanding young scientific and technological Talents of Guizhou Province, member of the Guizhou Pig Professional Committee, senior member of the Chinese Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, Director of the Chinese Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, Director of the Guizhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Society, and Deputy director of the Pig Husbandry and Veterinary Society. He is mainly engaged in the research of animal genetic resources evaluation and germplasm innovation. He has published more than 80 academic papers.
Associate Professor Dr. Min Zhu is teacher at the college of Animal Science, Guizhou University (2020). He completed his PhD studies in animal nutrition and feed science at the South China Agricultural University. He is a research supervisor and has published more than 20 SCI papers. His research interests include single-stomach animal nutrition, the development and utilization of novel feed additives, and stem cell-driven regulation of intestinal nutrition.
