Prof. Dr. Ming Guo is a Professor
and doctoral supervisor at the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and
Architecture. He obtained a doctor's degree in photogrammetry and remote
sensing in the State Key Laboratory of Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing
Information Engineering of Wuhan University from 2008 to 2011. He has won
multiple awards, including the Second Place Prize for China's Satellite Navigation
Technology Progress, the First Place Prize for Geographic Information Science and
Technology, the Second Place Prize for Huaxia Construction Science and Technology in
2021, the First Place Prize for China's Satellite Navigation Technology Progress in
2020, and the Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Society of Surveying
and Mapping in 2014. He is a reviewer for well-known SCI journals at home and
abroad, such as Automation in Construction. At present, he is mainly engaged in
the application of LiDAR technology and research on 3D geographic information
systems, with his research directions including the digital protection of cultural
heritage, LiDAR surveying technology, mobile measurement technology, and
building health monitoring.
