Hafiza Padinharayil is currently a Doctoral Researcher at Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, India. She is specializing in exosome-based lung cancer progression, signal transduction, and immunology. With a background in molecular biology, her work focuses on understanding how exosomes influence tumor progression and immune evasion in lung cancer. She also studies cargo signaling pathways like SORT1 and NTPs to identify targets for precision medicine.
Dr. Jinsu Varghese is an accomplished Associate Professor in the Postgraduate and Research Department of Zoology at St. Thomas College, India. She joined the institution in 2004 as a lecturer and has steadily risen through the ranks, currently holding the position of Associate Professor. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biophysics from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Dr. Varghese’s research interests are focused on biophysics, environmental toxicology, and molecular biology, with significant contributions to understanding the effects of pollutants on aquatic life and human health and studies related to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer.
Dr. P.R. Varghese, a renowned academic and researcher in the field of Zoology and Medical Research, is the Research Coordinator at the Jubilee Centre for Medical Research, Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute in Thrissur, Kerala. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Varghese retired as Associate Professor and Head of the Postgraduate Department of Zoology at St. Aloysius College, Kerala, affiliated with Calicut University. He holds Ph.D. in Cancer Research (1992). His primary research areas encompass epidemiology, genetics, and dermatoglyphics.
Dr. Cornelia M. Wilson is a Reader and Academic Laboratory Director at Canterbury Christ Church University, specializing in molecular and cell biology. Her research focuses on cancer biology, neurodegenerative diseases, and the development of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, including projects on lung cancer exosomes, exosome biogenesis in cancer, and targeting the NF-kB pathway. Since 2023, Dr. Wilson has led the Life Sciences Industry Liaison Lab at Discovery Park, UK, where she previously served as Senior Lecturer and Director (2016–2023). She played a pivotal role in establishing the lab and fostering industrial collaborations. Additionally, she held an honorary research position at the University of Liverpool and contributed to lung cancer research at the University of Limoges, France, where she established the first lung cancer biobank.
Dr. Alex George is an accomplished scientist and researcher currently serving as Scientist D. at the Jubilee Centre for Medical Research at the Jubilee Mission Medical College & Research Institute (JMMC&RI) in Thrissur, India. With expertise in cytogenetics, molecular genetics, and molecular diagnostics, his research focuses on a variety of fields, including cancer biology, genetic counseling, bioinformatics, and liquid biopsy research. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT). His postdoctoral work, funded by the ICMR-DHR International Fellowship, allowed him to study lung cancer progression through the role of sortilin at Canterbury Christ Church University, UK. His technical expertise spans a wide range of genetic and molecular techniques, including DNA and RNA sequencing, chromosomal aberration analysis, and cell culture techniques.
