Dr. Jorge Antonio López Rentería is a Research Professor of the Researchers for Mexico Program at the Ministry of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (SECIHTI, in Spanish), Mexico, which is assigned to the National Technological of Mexico, Campus Tijuana Techonlogical Institute. He completed his PhD in Science at the Metropolitan Autonomous University, Iztapalapa, Mexico, and has been awarded a Level 1 achievement for the National System of Researchers in Mexico. He recently led a Basic Science Project in fractional discrete time systems, financed by SECIHTI. He has published more than 20 papers in various journals on mathematical dynamical systems, and serves as a Founding Member of the Mexican Association of Dynamical Systems and Complexity, as well as of the Researchers for Mexico with the project "Applied Mathematics, Via to Increase the Value of Sectors in Baja California". His teaching fields include linear algebra, differential equations, mathematical analysis, complex analysis, mathematical modeling, fractional calculus, applied mathematics for engineering, and control theory, and his interests include control theory, fractional calculus and systems, stability and stabilization, and chaos and bifurcations.
