Born in
1983, Markel Zubiaga received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from
the University of Mondragon, Mondragon, Spain, in 2005 and 2007, respectively.
He also obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Mondragon in 2011. In the
same year, he joined Ingeteam, where he worked as an R&D Engineer in various
positions (2011-2024). Currently, he is a researcher and lecturer with the
Electronic Technology Department at the University of Basque Country (Gipuzkoa
Engineering school). His research interests are in the fields of power
electronics, renewable energy systems, energy transmission systems, power
systems with high penetration of power converters, and grid-forming control.
Ander Ordono received
his B.E. in Renewable Energies Engineering from the University of the Basque
Country in 2015 and M.E degree in Power Electronics and Energy from
Mondragon Unibersity in 2017. He worked as a researcher with the Automation and
Control Unit of Tekniker. In 2022, he
joined the Electrical Department of the University of the Basque Country, where
he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. His research interests include the modelling,
analysis, and control of grid-connected converters.
Alain Sanchez-Ruiz received
his B.Sc. degree in Electronics Engineering, M.Sc. degree in Automatics and
Industrial Electronics, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the
University of Mondragon, Mondragon, Spain, in 2006, 2009, and 2014,
respectively. He joined Ingeteam R&D Europe, Zamudio, Spain, in May 2014, where
he is currently an R&D Engineer. Since January 2017, he has also been a
Lecturer with the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), Bilbao, Spain.
From February 2012 to May 2012, he was a Visiting Researcher with the
University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. His current research interests
include the modeling, modulation, and control of power converters; multilevel
topologies; advanced modulation techniques; high-power motor drives; and
grid-tied converters.
