Dr. Jin Peng is an associate professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power, China. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Harbin Institute of Technology. He presided over two key R&D and promotional projects (technological breakthroughs) in Henan Province, one postdoctoral research project in Henan Province, and participated in one National Natural Science Foundation of China general project, one National Natural Science Foundation of China youth project, one open-fund project of the National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Wear Control and Forming Technology of Metal Materials, and one key research project of the Henan Higher Education Institutions. He has published 17 papers in domestic and foreign journals as the first author, including 11 SCI/EI papers; 25 invention patents were authorized, including 10 invention patents authorized as the first inventor. He participated in and won one second prize for provincial science and technology progress, two first prizes from the Education Department, and one second prize. His research directions mainly involve laser and arc welding behavior and welding quality monitoring; numerical simulation of the dynamic behavior of the molten pool and welding stress and strain in the welding process; and research and development of substrate brazing, welding, and additive manufacturing.
