Prof. Dr. Shimei Wang is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the College of Resources and Environmental Sciences, Nanjing Agricultural University, Nanjing, China. After graduating with a master's degree, she has been engaged in teaching and research in soil and environmental microbiology. In 2007, she obtained a doctoral degree in plant nutrition from Nanjing Agricultural University. The main course for undergraduate students is "Environmental Engineering Microbiology" and for graduate students is "Environmental Microbiology and Experimental Techniques". Her research focuses on microbial isolation and identification, microbial fermentation, extraction and detection of microbial metabolites, and biological control of soil-borne diseases in continuous cropping of strawberries/cucumbers.

Dr. Zhen Li studied at the National Science Talent Training Base for Geology, Department of Earth Sciences, Nanjing University from 2001 to 2005, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree; from 2005 to 2008, he studied at the Department of Earth Sciences, Department of Earth Exploration and Information Technology, Nanjing University, and obtained a Master of Engineering degree; from August 2008 to December 2013, he studied at the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Washington University in St. Louis, and obtained a Ph.D. degree. From June 2014 to December 2016, he served as a lecturer at the Department of Soil and Ecology, Nanjing Agricultural University; from December 2016 to the present, he has served as an Associate Professor at the Department of Soil and Ecology, Nanjing Agricultural University. He mainly studies the transformation and circulation processes of minerals, heavy metals, microplastics, etc., in soil systems based on functional fungi. His recent research focuses on analyzing the microbial geochemistry of soil phosphorus and the environmental toxicology of soil microorganisms.
