Prof. Dr. Mingyu Zhang majored in architecture and works as an associate professor at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. His main research fields are urban lighting pollution, daylighting design, and theoretical research. From 1997 to 2011, he received a professional bachelor's, as well as master's and doctorate degrees in architecture from Tianjin University and served as a lecturer at the same institution from 2005 to 2013, after which he became an associate professor. His other current positions are as vice-director of the Key Laboratory of Architectural Physics and Environmental Technology, and vice-director of the Institute of Building Science and Technology, both of which are located at Tianjin University.
