Dr. Xuan Wang currently serves as an Associate Professor
at the School of Marine Science and Technology of the Tianjin University. She
received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the School of Environment of
Tianjin University in 2003 and 2006, respectively, and earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of
Singapore in 2012. From December 2012 to December 2015, she was a postdoctoral
fellow at the National University of Singapore. Her research interests mainly
include hydroinformatics, data assimilation, coast environmental dynamics, environmental
risk assessment, and smart urban water systems.
Prof. Dr. Wei Li is now a Professor at the School of
Marine Science and Technology of Tianjin University. He received his bachelor’s
degree in Applied Physics from Tianjin University in 2000, his master’s degree
in theoretical physics from Tianjin University in 2003, and his Ph.D. in
Physical Oceanography from Ocean University of China in 2010. From June 2007 to
January 2008, he was a visiting scholar at the Earth System Research Laboratory
of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. He previously worked at
the National Marine Information Center and the Key Laboratory of Marine
Environmental Information Technology of the State Oceanic Administration. His
research interests mainly include ocean data assimilation, ocean numerical
simulation, and ocean numerical analysis and forecasting.
Prof. Guijun Han is a Professor at the School of
Marine Science and Technology of Tianjin University. She received her B.S. and
M.S. degrees from the Department of Water Resources and Harbor Engineering of Tianjin
University in 1994 and 1997, respectively, and her Ph.D. in Physical
Oceanography from the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in
2001. From April 1997 to April 2018, she worked at the National Marine Data and Information Service. In addition, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the
Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (October 2001–October
2003). From April 2005 to December 2005, she was a visiting scientist at
Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory, NOAA, Princeton University, USA. Her research
topics mainly include ocean analysis/forecasting, data assimilation, and machine learning.
