Prof. Dr. Julia Claudia Mirza-Rosca is a professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (1995), Spain. She works in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. She is the head of the Nanomaterials and Corrosion Research group (NanCorr) and the director of Research and Protection in Corrosion–Canarias for the Las Palmas Foundation. She holds a PhD in Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in 1995 and a PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of La Laguna in 1996. Her scientific interests mainly cover the areas of electrochemical processes, corrosion, biomaterials, and nanomaterials.
Prof. Dr. Ionelia Voiculescu is a Full Professor at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, Industrial Engineering and Robotics Faculty, Department of Quality Management and Industrial Technologies, and director of the LAMET laboratory. She earned her Ph.D. in Materials Technology and Welding from the University Politehnica of Bucharest in 1998. She has expertise in the processing and characterization of metallic alloys. She has participated in over 69 national research contracts (28 as director or responsible) and 10 international projects (two as director). She has published nine specialized technical books (ISBN) and four didactic books (course notes) and is a co-author of six book chapters in the international publishing editure. She is a co-author of over 230 scientific papers, of which 90 articles are in ISI-listed journals, 37 in national journals, 75 papers in international congresses, and 51 papers in national conferences. She is the co-author of 26 published patents (OSIM_Ro and Spain). She also serves as a member of several national publishing teams (five) and a reviewer (Elsevier) for 45 international scientific journals, guest editor for the journal Coatings, Applied Science, etc. Awards received: over 50 gold medals and special awards, 20 silver medals obtained at International Invention Forums.
