Camila A. Sakaguchi is a Research Manager at the Department
of Biology, Human Performance Laboratory, Appalachian State University. Prior
to this, she served as a Physicaltherapist at the Hospital da Mulher de Marília.
She earned her M.Sc. And Ph.D. in Physiotherapy from the Universidade Federal
de São Carlos in 2016 and 2020, respectively. Her doctorate research was
focused on investigating the effects of respiratory training using
metabolomics. The mission of the App State NCRC Human Performance Laboratory she
served is to investigate unique nutritional products as countermeasures to
exercise- and obesity-induced immune dysfunction, inflammation, illness and
oxidative stress.
