Davut Hotaman, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Sciences at Yıldız Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey, specializing in the Curriculum Development and Teaching Programme. He holds a master’s degree in Curriculum Development and Teaching from Hacettepe University obtained in 1993. In 2008, he earned his PhD in Primary School Education from the Department of Elementary Education at Marmara University, Istanbul. His research interests span a broad spectrum of critical areas in education, including teacher training methodologies, the development and evaluation of educational programs, and the integration of innovative assessment strategies into teaching practices. In addition to his teaching and research activities, Hotaman is actively engaged in the development of evidence-based educational policies and practices. He has contributed to various academic publications, conferences, and workshops, focusing on the dynamic challenges faced by modern educators. His ongoing projects include exploring the impact of 21st-century skills on teacher training programs and investigating innovative approaches to assessment and evaluation in diverse educational contexts. He remains dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the role of education in societal development.
