Prof. Dr. Yagang Zhang is a professor at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He obtained his Ph.D.
from the University of South Carolina in 2010. Then, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2010 to 2013. He joined the UESTC in 2019 as a Full Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science and group leader of the Chemistry Materials and Green Chemistry Lab. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a
Grand Board Member of the Chinese Chemical Society. He is currently serving as Vice President of the Xinjiang Chemical Society. He was awarded the Tianshan Scholar Distinguished Professor in 2014 and the Tianfu Emei Innovation leader Program. He served as the Director of the Xinjiang Fine Chemical Engineering Research Center from 2014 to 2019. He is currently on the
Editorial Board of Current Organic Chemistry, InfoMat, and The Innovation. His research interests include developing advanced functional materials and polymer composites, functionally oriented molecular recognition and assembly, and green and sustainable chemistry and engineering.
