Ann Gillian Chu, PhD, SFHEA, is an Assistant Professor in the Academy of Chinese, History, Religion and Philosophy at Hong Kong Baptist University and a Visiting Research Fellow at the Centre for Religion and Public Life at the University of Leeds. Dr. Chu received her Doctor of Philosophy from the School of Divinity at the University of St Andrews and her Master of Divinity from Regent College in Vancouver, Canada. She has been awarded a subgrant from the John Templeton Foundation, and her research project is titled “Left-behind Elderly Parents: The Theology and Social Role of Christian Organisations in Supporting Older Adults in Hong Kong Whose Adult Children Migrated through the British National (Overseas) Visa Scheme.”
