Dr. Theivanayagam Maharajan is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Biosciences, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. From 2015 to 2022, he was a Research Scholar at Loyola College. He also is a Resource Person at Loyola College and the Rajagiri College of Social Sciences. He has been working to improve abiotic stress (particularly macro- and micro-nutrient use efficiency) management in cereals for several years. His research interests include millets, phosphorus, nutrient use efficiency, cereals, abiotic stresses, functional genomics, CRISPR/Cas, and plant breeding and genetics.
Dr. Duraipandiyan Veeramuthu is a Senior Scientist at the Division of Phytochemistry and Ethnopharmacology, Entomology Research Institute, Loyola College. He received his Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, and Doctorate degree from the University of Madras in 1996, 2001, and 2008, respectively. Furthermore, he received a Master’s degree from Annamalai University in 1999. He has started his research work in the field of traditional medicinal plants with special reference to the control of pathogenic microbes, and he is involved in Phytochemistry work. He is part of many scientific bodies and memberships. He has supervised Ph.D. students. He has been a Project Investigator in a few funded projects and reported on many bioactive compounds from plants and microbes. His research work was published in reputed journals related to the biology field. He has been a reviewer of many reputed biology journals. Currently, he is working on natural product isolation and testing against pathogenic microbes, cancer, diabetics, and insects. He has national and international patents and has developed some products with team work.
Dr. Thumadath Palayullaparambil Ajeesh Krishna is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Department of Biosciences, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Cochin, Kerala, India. He received the M.Sc. in Botany from Gandhigram Rural Institute, Deemed University, in 2014 and the Ph.D. in Botany-Entomology from Loyola College in 2022. From 2014 to 2018, he was a Senior Research Fellow at Loyola College. His research interests include genetic engineering, crop biotechnology, marker-assisted selection, functional genomics, agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation, plant phenotyping, crop improvements, small millets, genomic-assisted breeding, tissue culture techniques, and medicinal plants.
