Author Biographies

Jiri Militky is a Professor at the Department of Textile Materials, Faculty of Textile Engineering, at the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic. From the Technical University of Liberec, he earned an MS in Textile Chemistry (1968). From 1991 to 1993, he was vice chancellor for foreign relations, and from 1994 to 2000, he was dean of the textile faculty. From 2001 to 2003, he was vice chancellor for science and foreign relations. From 2004 to 2008 he was again the dean of the textile faculty. In 1995, he was appointed Academician of the Ukraine Academy of Engineering Sciences. He has published 590 papers with 6328 citations and an h-index of 41 (Scopus, 10 November 2023). His research topics mainly include fibers, textile material engineering, metrology, textile chemistry, and applied statistics.
Jakub Wiener graduated in Textile Technology from the Technical University of Liberec in 1996. Since 2000, he has worked at the Faculty of Textile Engineering, Technical University of Liberec. Currently, he is a full-time professor at the Department of Material Engineering. His research and development are focused on nanotechnology in textile chemistry, and recently also on textile dyeing and chemical analyses of textiles. His scientific output includes 223 publications, corresponding to 1914 citations (h-index = 25) (Scopus, 10 November 2023).

Dr. Mohanapriya Venkataraman is a passionate textile material scientist working as an assistant professor in the Department of Material Engineering, Faculty of Textile Engineering, at the Technical University of Liberec, Czech Republic. Her teaching and research areas include textile materials, thermodynamic analysis, micro- and nanoporous materials, heat transfer, polymers, and composites. She is a leader and a team member of multiple international research projects funded by the EU, the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR), and the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR).
