Fredy Kristjanpoller is currently a Professor at the Industrial Engineering Department at Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, Chile. He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Organization from the University of Seville, Spain. His research and teaching interests are in operations, asset management, reliability, maintenance strategies, and risk analysis. He has been published in several journals, including Reliability Engineering and System Safety, Complexity, Renewable Energy, Journal of Risk and Reliability, Applied Sciences, and others.
