Daniel Puppe is a Researcher at the Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF), Müncheberg, Germany. He completed his Ph.D. at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg, Germany. He is a Member of the German Soil Science Society (DBG) and the Society of Eukaryotic Microbiology (EuMik). His research interests focus on, but are not limited to, biogeochemical (silicon) cycling; biogenic silica; agricultural plant-soil systems; sustainable agriculture; protist biodiversity; and ecosystem functioning.
