Prof. Dr. Waldemar Banasiak is the head of the Heart Disease Center at the 4th Military Clinical Hospital with Polyclinic and the head of the medical science discipline council at Wrocław University of Technology. He has been appointed by the Minister of Health as a national consultant in cardiology. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Military Medical Academy in Łódź, from which he graduated with first-class honors in 1981. In 1986, he defended his doctoral dissertation at the Medical Academy in Wrocław. He specializes in the treatment of heart failure. His scientific interests also include areas related to stable coronary artery disease, atrial fibrillation, and cardio-oncology.
