Prof. Dr. Joanna Kulczycka is a Professor at the
Faculty of Management at the AGH University of Science and Technology. She was
the founder and currently heads the Strategic Research Department at MEERI of
the Polish Academy of Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in management (1998) from AGH
UTS (Krakow) and a Ph.D. in economic sciences (commodity science) from the
Poznan University of Economics. Her research experience ranges from economics
and industrial process management, mainly in the raw materials and recycling
sectors, to CSR, eco-innovation, and the circular economy. She is also a member
of the European Stakeholder Platform on the Circular Economy, the EU H2020 SC5
Advisory Group on Societal Challenges 5 “Climate Action, Environment, Resource
Efficiency and Raw Materials (2014–2018)”, EU EIT Raw Materials (operational
group), and the Committee on Sustainable Management of Raw Materials of the
Polish Academy of Sciences. She has experience in the management and
implementation of EU projects from 5FP EU, H2020, Interreg, KIC Raw Materials,
Era-min, and in the organization of many conferences and workshops.
