Author Biographies

Xuejun Zhang received his Ph.D. from the Department of Electronics, Faculty of Engineering, Gifu University, Japan. He is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Guangxi University and a visiting professor at the School of Biomedical Engineering, University of Southern California; MeVis Medical Solutions AG at Bremen University, Germany; and Graduate School of Medicine at Gifu University, Japan. He also serves as a member of the Eighth Council of the Chinese Society of Image and Graphics, a member of the Second Council of the Beijing Disaster Recovery Technology Industry Alliance, a fellow of the European Academy of Natural Sciences, and a guest editor of Bioengineering. His main research directions include the development of Computer-Aided Diagnosis (CAD) systems and image processing acceleration technologies for IoT cloud platforms. He has presided over three National Natural Science Foundation projects and one Suzhou Gusu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leading Talent Program, participated in two international projects, and presided over one teaching reform project of the Education and Examination Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and two key projects of Guangxi Province. He has published more than forty academic papers in the past five years, fifteen of which have been indexed by SCI.
