Author Biographies

Dr. Eleftherios Archavlis is a distinguished neurosurgeon, spine surgeon, and professor with extensive expertise in minimally invasive spinal surgery and enhanced recovery techniques. Since April 2019, he has served as Chief Physician at the Interdisciplinary Spine Center Frankfurt and the Department of Neurosurgery at Elisabethen Hospital, an academic teaching institution with 250 beds. There, he oversees over 100 complex surgical procedures monthly and manages the care of more than 1,000 patients annually, both inpatient and outpatient. Dr. Archavlis holds a doctoral degree from the University of Frankfurt, where he researched the "Timing of Cranioplasty," and achieved a professorial habilitation on "Less Invasive Techniques in Complex Spinal Surgery" at the University of Mainz. A prolific academic, he has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and is actively involved in medical education as an adjunct professor at the University of Mainz and EUC, as well as a professor at IU. Previously, he served as a senior consultant at the University Hospital Mainz, further solidifying his reputation as a leader in his field.
