Dr. Alina Maria Smaranda is a Sports Medicine Specialist at the National Institute of Sports Medicine and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the same institution. She has presented research on athlete ECG screening and cardiovascular risk at national and international conferences and published several papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Her teaching disciplines include pre-participation evaluation (PPE), exercise physiology, injury prevention, and sports cardiology. Her professional interests focus on athlete health monitoring, ECG interpretation in athletes, the integration of technology into performance optimization, and the development of evidence-based screening protocols.
She is dedicated to improving athlete performance and ensuring long-term health through comprehensive screening, injury prevention, sports nutrition, and antidoping monitoring.
