Ricardo Quintero Rodríguez is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology, Psychobiology, and Methodology at the University of La Laguna. He is a predoctoral researcher supported by a predoctoral contract (Ref. FPI2024010222), co-funded by the Canarian Agency for Research, Innovation and Information Society (Ministry of Universities, Science, Innovation and Culture) and the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), within the Canary Islands Integrated Operational Program 2021–2027, Axis 3, Priority Theme 74 (85%). He holds a Bachelor's degrees in Speech Therapy and Psychology, as well as Master's degrees in General Health Psychology and Teacher Training for Secondary and Upper-Secondary Education. His primary research interests include the relationship between intelligence and personality, and the identification of high abilities and talent. He also investigates the relationship between social cognition and psychopathology, among other variables. Alongside his academic work, he has clinical experience as a speech therapist and clinical psychologist, working with adolescents, adults, and individuals with disabilities, as well as those with neuropsychiatric and neuropsychological conditions. He is a member of the Working and Research Group on Giftedness (GTISD), the Applied Research Group in Behavioral Sciences (GIACCo), the Spanish Association of Methodology of Behavioral Sciences (AEMCCO), and RIICS-NS (Red Iberoamericana de Investigación sobre Cognición Social en Neurociencias Sociales).
Leire Aperribai has a PhD degree in Clinical Psychology. She is an associate professor at the University of the Basque Country in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology and Research Methodology. As a researcher, her main interests are based in clinical psychology, in educational psychology, in gender issues and in giftedness. In her first research years, she investigated gender issues by studying individual (girls) and group (association) empowerment and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. In the last few years, her target population has been gifted children, youth, and adults. Specifically, she has studied variables related to educational psychology (educational methods, teacher–student relationships, motivation, talented girls’ empowerment) as well as variables related to clinical psychology (well-being and personality). Finally, in the last few years, she has been studying the Theory of Mind. Eventually, she will be involved in the study of teachers’ well being in the lockdown situation due to Covid-19. She is member of the Basque Government’s research groups Osaklinik and BioGipuzkoa. Also, she is member of REINEVA (International Network of Research, Intervention and Evaluation in High Abilities) and RIICS-NS (Red Iberoamericana de Investigación sobre Cognición Social en Neurociencias Sociales).
Triana Aguirre has a PhD in Psychology and is an expert in High Intellectual Abilities. She is currently a lecturer at the University of La Laguna, in the Area of Personality, Assessment and Psychological Treatments, and also a permanent professor at the International University of Valencia (VIU). She has been accredited as Assistant Doctor by the Canarian Agency for University Quality and Educational Evaluation (ACCUEE) since 2023. As a researcher, her main lines of work focus on high intellectual abilities, special educational needs, programme evaluation and behavioural science methodology. She coordinates the Integral Programme for High Abilities (PIPAC) and is a member of the International Network for Research, Intervention and Evaluation in High Intellectual Abilities (REINEVA).
Elena Rodríguez-Naveiras has a PhD in Psychology and is an assistant professor at the Department of Clinical Psychology, Psychobiology and Methodology at the University of La Laguna (ULL). She is part of the Applied Research Group in Behavioral Sciences and is deputy director of the Comprehensive Program for High Abilities (PIPAC) taught at the ULL. She is Director of the Cultural Classroom for High Abilities and Talents at the University of La Laguna. She has 21 years of experience in the field of intervention and research in high intellectual abilities. This forms part of the programs taught at the ULL, aimed at groups of learners with high abilities: PIPAC, ATENEA. She has a six-year research period recognized by ANECA.
África Borges is a Professor of Methodology of Behavioral Sciences and Director of the Cultural Classroom of High Intellectual Abilities of the University of La Laguna. She also directs the Comprehensive Program for High Abilities (PIPAC) and the ATENEA-ULL mentoring program. She is Director of the International Network for Research, Intervention and Evaluation in High Abilities, REINEVA, and of the journal 'Talento, Inteligencia y Creatividad TALINCREA'. Her research interests include high intellectual abilities, the assessment of psychosocial intervention programs, observational methodology and mixed methods research.
