Shashikant Verma is currently an assistant professor at the National Institute of Technology, Raipur. He received his Bachelor of
Engineering from Government College of Engineering, Jagdalpur in 2008 and then completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in 2011 and his Doctor of Philosophy in
Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Raipur in 2018. His research interests include hydrological modeling; climate change; reservoir operation; global climate model; optimization; time series analysis; drought indices; drought severity assessment; agricultural productivity; and drought impact assessment.
