Shuxiang Guo received his B.S. and M.S. from Changchun Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics (now Changchun University Of Science And Technology) and his Ph.D. in Mechano-Informatics and Systems from Nagoya University in 1995. He is a Chair Professor at the Key Laboratory of Convergence Medical Engineering System and Healthcare Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. His research interests include medical robot systems, microcatheter systems, and biomimetic underwater robots. He is also a Fellow of The Engineering Academy of Japan.
Huiming Xing holds a B.S. in Automation from Qilu University of Technology, an M.S. in Control Science and Control Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, and a Ph.D. in Pattern Recognition and Intelligent Systems from Beijing Institute of Technology. He is now an Associate Professor at the College of Intelligent Systems Science and Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. Before his current appointment, he was a Research Assistant at the School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology. Currently, he is mainly engaged in bionic robots, underwater modular robots, soft robots, cross-media vehicles, and cluster mission planning for applications in water, land, and shallow waters.
