Prof. Dr. Steven J Sucheck is Chair at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Toledo based in Toledo, Ohio where he has worked since 2005. Previously, he held positions at Optimer Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Virginia and conducted research as a Postdoctoral Scholar at The Scripps Research Institute (Scripps Research). His research areas include Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Antibiotics, Biomaterials, etc.
