Associate prof. Muge Unal is a distinguished researcher and scholar specializing in landscape architecture and urban planning. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Çukurova University in 2012 and completed her Ph.D. at the same institution in 2021. Currently, she holds the position of associate professor at Firat University, where she has participated in numerous research projects and collaborations, including a postdoc position at Arizona State University within the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts. Her research primarily focuses on GIS-based accessibility analysis; urban green space optimization; and modeling relationships between public green spaces and thermal comfort, particularly in urban settings. The impact of her academic work is evident through the high number of citations it has received, demonstrating her significance in the discipline.
