Associate Professor Mahshid Firouzi is a leading researcher in multiphase flow systems, mineral processing, and sustainable resource recovery at the University of Newcastle, Australia, where she also serves as Chief Investigator at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Eco-Efficient Beneficiation of Minerals. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland (UQ) and is an Honorary Associate Professor at the UQ Gas & Energy Transition Research Centre. Her research focuses on low-emission technologies and eco-efficient resource recovery strategies, with applications in both conventional and urban mining. Through extensive collaboration with industry and academia, she develops practical solutions that enhance efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.
