Prof. Aleksandra Szczepankiewicz graduated from Poznan
University of Life Sciences with a degree in biotechnology. Then, she
accomplished her PhD studies at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. Since 2007,
she has worked in the Department of Pulmonology, Pediatric Allergy and Clinical
Immunology. In 2010, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at University of
Southampton, United Kingdom. Currently, she is the Head of Centre of
Experimental Medicine at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan, Poland.
She has published over 100 papers and has been the PI of 7 research grants. Her
scientific achievements were awarded with FNP-START, L’Oreal for Women in
Science, Ministry of Science and Higher Education for young scientists. She is
a member of European Respiratory Society (ERS) and a member of Fellowships
and Awards Working Group, as well as a member of the Long-Range Planning Committee
in Basic Science Assembly within the ERS.
